Gerardo Guardiola is currently employed
with the Dallas Police Department in Dallas, Texas. He has worked in the Internal Affairs Division for 4 years, and has been
assigned to over 51 cases (30 Internal and 21 External). These investigations ranged from small policy
violations to excessive force allegations. In January of 2009, Gerardo was tasked with investigating an
incident where an officer was killed in the line of duty. This proved to be a very difficult and challenging
endeavor.
Gerardo is an energetic detective who has proven to be an effective
investigator. He has investigated numerous high profile cases which gained national media exposure including
an incident where 33 officers wrote were writing individuals tickets for not being able to speak English.
Gerardo is currently an instructor at the Dallas Police Academy, teaching “Intermediate Use of
Force and Verbal Communications/Complaint Avoidance and Analysis. He has 14 years of law enforcement experience
and holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate. Gerardo is a licensed instructor with the Texas Law Enforcement Training and
Education Division.
